It's a new year at Helping Hand, and we want to take this opportunity to thank all the people and agencies who have helped us over the years. As we enter our 45th year of Service, we are humbled and extremely grateful for the overwhelming generosity shown to our Clients. Without your love and support, we would never be able to help so many.
Our 2015 Newsletter has been mailed, and in it, we're pleased to report that we were able to serve over 15,000 families last year! And while the economy seems to be recovering, the needs of the poor remain the same. According to Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, Arkansas continues to be the most food insecure state in the nation with 19.2 percent of residents experiencing insufficient amounts of food within the last 12 months. It's a very difficult life for these people when they don't know where their next meal is coming from.
